5 MONSOON HAIR CARE TIPS FOR ALL HAIR TYPES

Monsoon is a season that comes with a lot of beauty woes… from skin infections to hair that doubles in size every time you step out, the torture is non-stop. While most of you have already developed good monsoon hair care habits, these fool-proof tips will make sure you’re taking care

03. Moisturise

Increased humidity during the monsoon season can cause curly (or coily) hair to increase in volume. This is because curly hair tends to absorb moisture from the air and expand. As a result, your hair shaft loses its curl and turns into a frizzy mess.

You wont believe us when we tell you that the best way to combat moisture from the outside is to add more in your hair! Deep condition your hair with a leave-in conditioner to add bounce to your curls. Also, steer clear of humectant products such as glycerine, honey, aloe vera, etc. as they tend to trap moisture from the air into your strands.

04. Protect your hair colour

Regardless of your hair type, monsoon can make your hair look dull and lifeless. This is most evident in colour-treated hair that tends to lose its vibrancy and shine during the rainy season. Pamper your colour-treated hair with nourishing hair masks regularly. Looks for products infused with nourishing oils like argan or avocado that can reach deep in your hair shaft and give your hair a new lease of life!

05. Exercise caution with wet hair

There are a number of reasons why wet hair can be a cause for concern in monsoon. Firstly, if you fail to dry your hair completely before stepping out, they can turn into a breeding ground for bacteria fungi, leading to infections. Secondly, if you get caught in the rain, dont clip or tie your wet hair as it is more prone to breakage if handled roughly.

There's a couple of things that can bring a smile on my face, and one of them comes in the form of luscious lipsticks. My life quest involves reading every book ever written and talking to friends about them; while wearing a bright red pout!kiss
