Kiss me sweet with your warm wet mouth,
Still fragrant with ruby love wine,
And say with a fervor born of the South
That your body and soul are mine.
Clasp me close in your warm young arms,
While the pale stars shine above,
And we’ll live our whole young lives away
In the joys of a living love.

LOST INNOCENCE

Wind whistling,
Snow glistening,
We try not to,
But we're all listening.

Loud screams,
Bad dreams,
It's very far,
But close it seems.

Sad day,
Lost our way,
All we can do
Is simply pray.

Innocence gone,
Life no longer long.
We may not know,
But we're all doing wrong.

Joy lost,
The Holocaust.
We look to see
Hearts covered in frost.

Wars fought,
Sins taught,
Making mistakes,
Hoping not to be caught.

Not taking blame,
Pushing for fame.
As advanced as we are,
We're still all untamed.

Too much pride,
Needing a guide.
We will deny it,
But behind lies we hide.

Hurting others,
Betraying brothers.
Many forgetting
To appreciate mothers.

Lies are fed,
Filling heart and head.
Through all of these years,
Innocent blood has been shed.

Children abandoned,
Lonely and stranded.
We're all wasting the life
That we have been handed.

Taking from the poor,
We're loving no more.
Fight to be free,
End up starting a war.

People starting fights,
No longer enjoying the sights,
While mere mortals are taking
Our God given rights.

Soldiers killed,
Void can't be filled,
Pay close attention,
For pure souls have been tilled.

Need to find peace,
Work together like geese,
But greatest of all,
The hate needs to cease.

I feel “Life” is such a wide umbrella; a word that covers many, many things, and everyone’s experience of it is different. So let’s narrow it down. Let’s look at some poems about life that crack open how life can feel when we’re struggling and things are hard…but also ones that put a balm on that wound. There’s a lot of shit going on right now. There always is, but it’s been particularly sharp and thorny lately, and sometimes we need someone to put that into the words we just don’t have in us. Words that make us feel heard and understood, that acknowledge our pain and how heavy life can feel.

And sometimes we also need to get put back together again; to be reminded of the ways we can get through this, how we have overcome, and how, despite it all, life gives us hope. Poems like that serve as a reminder that we are not alone, and there is still beauty to be had—even if it’s just in the form of a perfect line of poetry.

Let this collection of poems about life help you feel heard, comforted, and give voice to whatever hurts or heals right now.

“THE SMALL CLAIM OF BONES”
what my body knows
is not a lie it’s not
a lie i tell you it is not
it’s nothing short of truth
and nothing larger
my past lodges
in my marrow and if
i wanted a transplant
there’d be no match
others’ sorrows dwarf
my petty traumas still
these bones are mine
when they creak
when they moan
when they whine
there’s only one thing
i can claim these bones
are mine i tell you
they are mine and kind
to abandon no thing
that makes this pulse
no one but me

Loved this piece of composition...worth feeling it while reading it

I want to give you your sizzling sexual fantasy
As I turn your fictional dreams into reality
Fantasy that have been scorching your soul
Could realize your daring dreams as we stroll
To your delicious urge's you want to give in
Passionate and steamy, it's just skin against skin
Unabashed lust not love is all that I will ask
Guaranteed after your fulfillment we can bask
Upon opening your eyes, and no sign I was there
If you yearn for me , I'll be in your dream's I swear
